adidas TERREX and the organizers of the World Mountain & Trail Running Championships—set to take place in Canfranc from September 24 to 28—have reached an agreement through which the outdoor sportswear brand becomes an Official Sponsor of the event. adidas TERREX will also provide apparel for the event’s volunteers and organizing team, playing a key role as a strategic partner.
adidas TERREX will serve as the Official Sponsor of the CanfrancPirineos 2025 World Mountain & Trail Running Championships—one of the year’s major sporting events, both in Aragon and across Spain. This will mark the first time that Spain hosts a World Championship in this discipline, which has seen significant growth in participants and licensed athletes worldwide in recent years under the auspices of World Athletics.
The Canfranc World Championships have the backing of Spain’s National Sports Council (CSD), the Government of Aragon, the Provincial Council of Huesca (DPH), the Canfranc Town Council, and the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA).
The inclusion of adidas TERREX has been warmly welcomed by the Mayor of Canfranc, Fernando Sánchez, who stated:

It also confirms the global stature of this event, which will be one of the major sporting highlights of the year.”
The CanfrancPirineos 2025 World Mountain & Trail Running Championships will bring together over 1,700 athletes from 80 countries. The world’s top mountain and trail runners will compete across Canfranc’s stunning mountain terrain in a championship organized under the umbrella of World Athletics, in collaboration with the World Mountain Running Association (WMRA), the International Trail Running Association (ITRA), the International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU), and the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA).
The event will feature five official race formats: ‘Uphill,’ ‘Classic,’ and ‘U20’ mountain running events, and ‘Short Trail’ and ‘Long Trail’ trail running events.
