*The track of the race, as well as the distance and elevation data, has been obtained with a GARMIN 65s GPS and processed with the BASE CAMP software. This data may not coincide with the data obtained by the runner during training and/or the race.
The athletes will have to complete a chilling 44,5 Km race with 3,657 metres of elevation gain. Some mythical points of the route should be highlighted: the ascent to La Moleta, with almost 1,500 metres of ascent in 6 Km; the ascent to Larraca, which practically match to the ‘Uphill’ race; the Loma Verde area, where the French border is crossed; and the descent from Collado Estiviellas through its 122 curves to the finish line at Canfranc Railway Station.
The start and finish of the race are located at the railway station. It will replicate the route of the iconic CanfrancCanfranc ‘Marathon’, which also takes place every year in September. Since 2007 the best runners in the world have taken part in this race and the best runners in the world have written their name on the finish line. Luis Alberto Hernando, Oihana Kortazar, Charlotte Morgan, Thibaut Baronian, etc. Who will be the next? Who will be the next world champions to join them?
