THE WORLD MOUNTAIN AND TRAIL RUNNING CHAMPIONSHIPS CANFRANC-PYRENEES 2025 LAUNCHES ITS NEW WEBSITE

The portal, designed by the local company PyreneVisuals, is bilingual (Spanish and English) and offers all the necessary information about the international event for the participating runners and international federations as well as for the fans and visitors. It will be the main reference in terms of communication for the World Championship, which will be held in Canfranc from September 25 to 28, 2025.

The World Mountain and Trail Running Championship CanfrancPyrenees 2025 has launched today its official website (canfrancpirineos2025wmtrc.com), which is an important step forward in the organization process and in the communication strategy of this important international sporting event, which will gather in September 2025 in the Aragonese Pyrenees more than 1,700 athletes from 70 countries.

The new website includes a specific file for each of the five modalities that will take place in Canfranc-Pyrenees: ‘Uphill’, ‘Classic’ and ‘U20’ in mountain races; and ‘ShortTrail’ and ‘LongTrail’ in trail running. In these files there is a detailed description of the routes and their corresponding Wikiloc map, general information about each race and the profiles that the runners will have to overcome.

It should be remembered that in the mountains of Canfranc will compete the best runners in the world in a championship organized under the umbrella of World Athletics, World Mountain Running Association (WMRA), International Trail Running Association (ITRA), International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU), and the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA).

Along with information on the five events, it includes a presentation of the territory from a geographical and historical perspective; and a tour of its history in the organization of sports competitions, such as the Canfranc-Canfranc, which this year has celebrated its 18th anniversary and which in some way is the seed for the organization of the World Championships in 2025.

The website has a news section and over the coming months will incorporate new sections as progress is made in the different stages of the organization of this sporting event. From here you can access the GIS (general information document for international federations), photo galleries, streaming broadcasts of competitions, press releases, official videos, the accreditation process and all the necessary information for athletes and federations and also for fans and visitors.
