Mayors of Surrounding Municipalities Meet in Canfranc Ahead of World Championships

Today, in Canfranc, the mayors of several municipalities that will be part of the World Championship courses—or that will collaborate in the organization of the event—came together for a key planning meeting. As Fernando Sánchez, Mayor of Canfranc, pointed out, this is an event “that will not only benefit our town, but the entire region, as its economic, social, sporting, and media impact goes far beyond our borders.”

The presence of the mayors of Jaca, Castiello de Jaca, Borau, Aísa, Ansó, Sabiñánigo, the president of the Jacetania district council, and a representative from the ASTUN ski resort reflects the broad institutional support backing the Championships, which will officially open on September 24.
